Outcomes & Standards
We are a school that keeps God's truth at the center of learning, nurturing in our students a desire to love Christ and cultivating in our students a mindset for service.
In our curriculum, we center on God's truth to give students a foundation for understanding their world, who they are, and what their purpose is. We help students grow to know and understand all aspects of God's truth and beauty in art, mathematics, science, technology, history, and literature. And we help students to activate their learning in serving communities and a life of service.

Next Generation Learning Standards
Faith Heritage will always deliver a curriculum where God’s Word is at the center. Faith Heritage will use the Next Generation Learning Standards, as we have in the past with previous NYSLS (New York State Learning Standards) — as one tool for determining minimum standards at each grade level while at all times keeping Scripture at the center, academic excellence as a requisite, and our core values as our guide.
Teachers within each content area review and update their curriculum on a regularly scheduled cycle. In that review, New York State Learning Standards have been taken into consideration to set minimum standards. (Standards are an agreed-upon list of skills and concepts that should be mastered at each grade level.) In 2017, NYS adopted the Next Generation Learning Standards for ELA and Mathematics, but the Standards themselves do not prescribe how a skill or concept should be taught at FHS, instead, it is the Faith Heritage curriculum that will determine which standards will be taught and how they will be taught and assessed.
With that in mind, our curriculum is a plan for instruction and assessment that helps to:
- deliver content in an engaging and relevant manner
- develop a biblical worldview in the hearts and minds of students
- ensure students understand and interpret their world through the lens of God’s unchanging truth
Our institution is registered with the State of New York and accredited by both the Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI) and the Middle States Association of Schools and Colleges (MSASC). Building on the minimum standards set forth by NYS, and the standards of accreditation, Faith Heritage curriculum is the final tool that teachers use to prepare our students to excel in PreK through 12 and college academics.
Elementary Curriculum
Faith Heritage School’s elementary program is designed to help children grow academically and spiritually. A Faith Heritage education begins on the firm foundation of God’s Word. Each and every subject is taught from a Biblical perspective, so students can grow in God’s wisdom and His Truth. Our program includes daily lessons in Bible, reading, phonics, spelling, mathematics, science, social studies, language arts, and penmanship. Physical education, library, computer, art, music, choir, and chapel round out the elementary program.
Along with the ABCs…at Faith Heritage School, children are taught that God is their Creator and that He has a purpose for them!
Middle & High School Curriculum
Faith Heritage School offers a strong, college preparatory program for Middle School and High School students. Each academic subject is seen as a vehicle to prepare your student’s heart and mind to be used of God in His world. Our program includes instruction in Bible, English, math, science, social studies, Spanish, computer, art, music, and physical education. Several college credit courses are offered, including courses in US History, English Literature and Composition, Biology, Spanish, and Calculus.
All courses are taught from a biblical perspective with the goal of helping students develop a biblical world and life view as they progress beyond Faith Heritage School.
