As an extension of the school's philosophy, our Dress Code promotes a sense of excellence, school pride, and unity.

This means all clothing must be from the uniform line of clothing offered on the Faith Heritage page of the Land’s End website. For more on our dress code, see the Dress Code or Shoe Guide downloads below.

Dress Code Descriptions

Manner of Dress and Personal Appearance

We depend on parents to work with the school in maintaining the appearance standards of the dress code by checking students before they leave for school, making sure they are dressed and groomed properly. It is understood that enrollment in FHS means a pledge on the part of both parents and students to abide by these dress code standards. Please read this section with your children to make sure they understand and agree to follow this code.
Pants, Skirts/Skorts, Jumpers 
  • Pants should be purchased from the FHS Land’s End site or be uniform pants that look exactly like Land’s End uniform pants. Belts should be black or brown leather belts (no need to purchase from Land’s End.)
  • Pants should be navy or khaki only and must be modest and neat, not too tight or too baggy, and properly hemmed with no undergarments visible.
  • Skirts/Skorts/Jumpers (K-5 ONLY) should be navy, khaki, or plaid. from the Land's End site.  Must be worn with a collared uniform dress shirt.
  • If tights are worn, they must be solid navy, white, tan or skin-toned. (No need to purchase from Land’s End.)
  • Socks should be navy, light blue, black, brown, white, tan, or yellow at either ankle or knee length. (No need to purchase from Land’s End.)

Tops — Collared Dress Shirts, Polo Shirts
  • All shirts must be purchased from the Land’s End site and must have the FHS Logo Imprint. 
  • Collared Dress Shirts should be white, yellow or blue — loose-fitting, not tight.
  • Polo Shirts should be white, navy or yellow — loose-fitting, not tight.

Warm Layers — Sweaters, Fleeces
  • Navy sweaters or navy fleeces from the FHS Land’s End site may be worn, but are not required. 
  • Sweaters or Fleeces must have the FHS logo imprint when purchased through Land’s End. 
  • Sweaters and Fleeces must be worn with a uniform collared or polo shirt underneath.

Boys’ Uniforms

Pants, Skirts/Skorts, Jumpers in K-5 only
  • Pants should be purchased from the FHS Land’s End site or be uniform pants that look exactly like Land’s End uniform pants. Belts should be black or brown leather belts (no need to purchase from Land’s End.)
  • Pants should be navy or khaki only, and must be modest and neat, not too tight or too baggy, properly hemmed with no under-garments visible.
  • Socks should be navy, black, brown, white, or tan. (No need to purchase from Land’s End.)

Tops — Collared Dress Shirts, Polo Shirts
  • All shirts must be purchased from the Land’s End site and must have the FHS Logo Imprint. 
  • Collared Dress Shirts should be white, yellow or blue — loose-fitting, not tight.
  • Polo Shirts should be white, navy or yellow — loose-fitting, not tight.
  • Ties are not required but may be worn with collared shirts. Should be Navy or Classic Navy Plaid from the FHS Land’s End site.

Footwear

Footwear should complement the uniform and not distract from a neat look. Shoes or sneakers may be worn with these exceptions:

  • No mismatched or non-matching laces, lights, wheels, or patterned sneakers such as leopard print, character prints, etc.  
  • No plastic shoes such as crocs, flip-flops or athletic sandals.  
  • All open toed shoes/sandals must have a back strap.  
  • Girls heels should be no more than two inches high.  
  • Boots may be worn to school in winter months, laced (if applicable) with pant legs covering the tops of boots.  
  • Fashion boots that complement the uniform may be worn with skirts for ladies.  
  • High tops that complement the uniform must be fully laced with pant legs covering the top of the shoes.

Additional Notes & Clarifications

  1. All clothing must be well-fitted, not tight, but not over-sized and baggy, not overly long.
  2. Collared dress shirts must be tucked in and worn with a brown or black leather belt. Polo shirts do not need to be tucked in, but if they are tucked, they should be worn with a brown or black leather belt.
  3. No scarves may be worn in school.
  4. For Girls: Hair and jewelry should not be excessive. Extreme colors or extreme hair styles are not permitted. Ear piercings should not be excessive (i.e. no spacers).  Nose piercings may only include one small stud. Any other body piercing is not acceptable.
  5. For Boys: Hair must be neat and not in the eyes. Excessively spiked hair, shaved designs, wearing items in the hair, extreme hair colors, and other extreme hairstyles (as deemed by administration) are not permitted. 
  6. For Boys: Faces shall be clean-shaven with sideburns neatly trimmed not extending below the earlobes. Seniors only may wear neatly groomed facial hair.
  7. For Boys: Earrings in ears or other body piercing are unacceptable. No “spacers” may be worn.
  8. Tattoos or facsimiles are to be covered during school or any school sponsored activity.
  9. No hats are to be worn in the building.

Clothing items not included in the Faith Heritage Dress Code are not to be worn during school hours.
